About
Our Architectural is a small, design-led residential architecture studio working with homeowners and small-scale developers across the North West.
Led by an ARB-registered architect and supported by a Creative Director, the studio combines architectural rigour with a calm, approachable way of working. This structure allows projects to be developed with clarity and technical confidence, while ensuring clients feel supported and at ease throughout the process.
The practice focuses on extensions, alterations, remodelling and new homes, with design decisions shaped by light, materiality, spatial planning and how people use their homes day to day. Rather than following trends, Our Architectural aims to create well-resolved, functional spaces that respond carefully to their context and enhance everyday living.
By working closely as a studio, Our Architectural offers a personal, considered service, guiding clients from early conversations through planning, technical design and construction support with clarity and continuity.
Stewart (Studio Director)
Architect
BA(Hons), BArch, ARB
Stewart is the Studio Director of Our Architectural and a qualified, ARB-registered architect. He trained at the Manchester School of Architecture, earning both BA (Hons) and BArch degrees, which provided a strong foundation in design, construction and spatial planning.
Since 2015, Stewart has built a broad range of experience across multiple practices, contributing to projects within healthcare, higher education, commercial and residential sectors. His work has included involvement in the Wolfson Centre for Applied Health and Research, the University of Liverpool School of Medicine refurbishment, the award-winning Spanish City project, and the 13-storey Leonardo Hotel in Manchester.
In more recent years, Stewart has focused predominantly on residential architecture, working on projects of varying scale and complexity and developing a thorough understanding of the full design and construction process. Through Our Architectural, he leads the architectural design and delivery of each project, remaining directly involved from initial concept through planning, technical design and construction-stage support.
His approach is design-led and measured, balancing ambition with practicality to create architecture that is contextually responsive, functional and uplifting, with careful attention given to light, materiality and the lived experience of space.
Jenny (Creative Director)
Jenny is the Creative Director at Our Architectural, supporting the studio through creative direction, client communication and overall experience of the design process.
With a background in brand strategy and marketing for small businesses, Jenny brings a strong understanding of how to communicate ideas clearly, manage decision-making and help clients feel confident and comfortable throughout a project. She works closely with clients during key stages to help articulate preferences, consider options and navigate choices with clarity rather than overwhelm.
Jenny’s role is focused on ensuring the process feels approachable and well supported, complementing the architectural work with thoughtful input on presentation, communication and broader design decisions.
Her involvement helps bridge the gap between technical design and the day-to-day experience of working on a home, contributing to projects that feel personal, considered and carefully resolved.
